The first ever “remote caller bingo” in the state will be held Tuesday, March 1 with at least three non-profit charitable groups participating. (click here to see locations). Officials from both the state and county have been invited to attend and review this new fund raising method for non-profit organizations. The groups that can benefit range from veteran’s organization, to service clubs to church organizations.
The doors at the Veteran’s Hall in Dixon, at 1305 North First Street, will open at 4 pm and the first bingo session will start 6pm. The second session will start between 7 and 7:30 and the third session around 9 pm.
Cards (for the eight games in each session) will cost $25 each and can be purchased the night of the games at the Veteran’s Hall in Dixon. The payouts for each game will be determined by the number of players collectively from all locations in each game. As new non-profit groups are added in the future the winnings will increase exponentially but on March1, payouts will vary depending on the final number of players.
According to Michael T. Lowen of Bingo Innovations, the management company for remote caller bingo, “The opening night game will include at least three separate locations playing the same game at the same time with the jackpot winnings going to the first person to bingo. American Legion Dixon, American Legion Ontario, Elks Lodge Desert Hot Springs are the three groups committed for the opening “pilot games.” Lowen said, “We are very excited about the prospect of being able to help provide funding for the many cash strapped charities throughout California. As the popularity of this new bingo concept increases so will the amount of money local non-profits will realize to help them with their local programs.”
According to Craig Van Sant, Director Sales and Marketing for Bingo Innovations, “ We guarantee at least a $600 per game payout on average and we will have one $50,000 cover all prize opportunity per each of the three eight game session. To achieve the $50,000 cover all it must be done in 46 balls or less. At this time, these offers are for opening night only.
